About Fabrica Film Club

Fabrica Film Club is a programme of events that explore film in different ways. Based at Fabrica art gallery, a former Regency church in the heart of Brighton.

There are three main strands to Fabrica Film Club:

  1. Film Monthly: A regular early evening screening. Film Monthly offers a broad selection of films including foreign cinema, independent, British and silent films. Each event will be accompanied by a talk, discussion, live performance or activity related to the screening.
  2. Film Forum: Once per exhibition, a late afternoon screening of a film by an emerging independent British filmmaker, aimed at young, aspiring and emerging filmmakers. Supported by graduate filmmakers, Film Forum will include an informal talk or discussion with the director of the screened film, offering unique insight into how the film was made.
  3. Drawing to Film: Once per exhibition, this well-established workshop led by artist Jane Fordham encourages experimental drawing responding to visually thrilling films.

Fabrica Film Club is supported by Film Hub South East.
